Our AA LEGION Associate Neil from RACKNLOAD is back with us today as he turns his unique attention to something that we’ve been a bit remiss with ourselves, and that’s VFC AEGs!
We’ve been focusing largely on the awesome output from VFC of their superb GBBRs lately, but it’s worth remembering that they also produce some excellent AEGs too! The VFC AVALON SAMURAI EDGE is the one of the latest incarnation of AEGs coming from a manufacturer that we hold in the very highest regard!
Externally the AEG is designed beautifully, and in conjunction with the eye-catching receiver sets, the SAMURAI EDGE comes with a fluted outer barrel and a slimline designed M-LOK compatible rail with sufficient picatinny rail slots on the 12 o’clock position up front for mounting lights and/or LAMs. The SAMURAI EDGE is fully ambidextrous, and also features the VFC-designed QRS Stock and uses the same series magazines as their other AEGs giving it a modern and sleek look. As a final touch, the AEG shows off a red flat-face “lightening” trigger.
Internally, the SAMURAI EDGE features the latest Version 2.1 ECS and trigger unit that is the same as their VIRGO system. The ECS is a programmable unit that adds a burst mode to the standard safe, semi, and auto!
But… enough with the blurb! Check out Neil’s video to get the real lowdown!
