The saying goes that “beautiful things can come in small packages”, and this most definitely applies to one of the latest AEGs from DOUBLE EAGLE that we’ve had in testing over the winter period thanks to iWholesales, and the DMP9 is a real handful of 6mm funtimes!
This compact and easy to manipulate AEG is perfect for CQB (and no slouch in the woods as it happens!) due to its short length and removable minimalist, skeletonized stock. It also benefits from the integrated Kestrel Basic ETU which offers programmable fire modes, including 3-round burst and binary trigger for ultimate control, and can be used in conjunction with the eSHOOTER app too!
Features are solid;
- Kestrel Basic ETU: Programmable pre-cocking, fire modes (including 3-round burst and binary trigger), low battery warning, and cycle completion.
- Compact Design: Short length and foldable stock for ease of manipulation tight quarters.
- M-LOK Handguard: Attach grips, lights, and other accessories with ease.
- 14mm CCW Threading: Compatible with suppressors and tracer units.
- Ambidextrous Controls: Fire selector, magazine release, and bolt catch for both left and right-handed users.
- Flip-Up Sights: Adjustable for windage and elevation.
- Ergonomic Pistol Grip: Comfortable and provides a secure hold.
- High-Quality Internals: V2 gearbox with 18:1 steel gears and 8mm bearings for durability and performance.
- 04mm Tightbore Inner Barrel: Enhanced accuracy for hitting targets at range.
All in all this is a very tidy package, and whatever your favourite style of airsoft may be it seems ready-made for some serious 6mm shenanigans! We’ll continue our testing for a little longer before dropping our full evaluation, but suffice to say it’s a case of so far, so impressed, especially given that you’ll already find the DMP9 in stores at around the UK£200 mark!
