Many of the members of the AA Crew have a lot of experience playing in hot and humid environments, but as the temperatures have risen recently in most areas we’re circling back to this topic once again, and the guys over at GUNFIRE just sent us a very interesting little article of their own, which we’re happy to feature here.
They say;
“During airsoft games, drinking water is extremely important for several key reasons:
Maintaining Hydration: Airsoft is a physically demanding sport. Drinking water helps replenish water losses and prevent dehydration.
Improving Physical Performance: Proper hydration affects better muscle performance. Dehydration can lead to muscle cramps, fatigue, and reduced physical efficiency.
Thermoregulation: During airsoft games, especially on hot days, the body can overheat quickly. Water helps regulate body temperature.
Improving Well-being: Drinking water also has an overall impact on well-being and comfort during the game. Lack of proper hydration can lead to headaches, dizziness, and general discomfort.
Take care of hydration, especially since it is very important during physical activities as well as in daily life.”
They then go on to give a series of options for ensuring that you are able to carry enough fluids with you in-game, options which can be found by following this link… HYDRATION
We hope that you’ll take a moment to check these options out; being prepared for any “AO” at any time of the year is a fundamental part of our personal preparation for playing airsoft, so be THE GUY that is fully prepared, not THAT GUY that causes us all a problem.
Well done to the guys at GUNFIRE for putting this together!
