We LOVE that airsoft covers so many time periods, so we’re going back even further in time now as our mates at NUPROL have been in touch to let us know that they just took a sizeable delivery from A&K into their warehouse and this means that there are some righteous models both old an new back in stock after some considerable time!
They told us;
“It has been some time since we last received a shipment from A&K Airsoft, but now we’re all set again and they should be in stores soon!”
Although we’re told that this delivery contained numerous models of A&Ks most popular models like the MK43 and various iterations of the M249/SAW, we’re actually over the moon to see that a number of A&K “historic” models like the Winchester 1892 lever action will be available again! Bill first got his hands on the original way back in 2015 and he said at the time…
“I have to say that I find the A&K Winchester 1892 utterly charming, and it’s no slouch in terms of build quality or performance either. I will go as far as saying that this is a replica I would love to add to my personal collection and it’s not going to break the bank either. Would you use this as a skirmish rifle on a weekend? I’d have to say no, but if you’re thinking of dabbling in “Wild West Airsoft” then this is a rifle that will let you do just that at a sensible price, and you’ll have a lot of fun doing so!”
Did he add one to his armoury? Yes he certainly did, and he tells us that he still loves it! But wait, there’s more…
Alongside the “1892” there’s also now an “1873”, and no ordinary one at that as it’s a “Mare’s Leg”! For those not conversant with this, the original “Mare’s Leg” (because it kicked like one!) was made by cutting down a .44-40 calibre Winchester Model 1892 rifle to a size that could be worn in a large leg holster and used with one hand, and iconic actor Steve McQueen was a fan, famously using his “Mare’s Leg” in the old TV show “Wanted: Dead or Alive”!
