A busy day yesterday (hence posting this today) as we had our regular meeting with our mates at iWHOLESALES to set up the schedule following IWA to make sure that we had all their new airsoft models lined up and ready for review just as soon as they land here in the UK!
One thing that Bill and Jase saw in Germany and got hands-on with was the APS STRIKER-12 ROTARY SHOTGUN, a historical model that Bill immediately fell in love with; he told us…
“The APS STRIKER-12 is a really fun airsoft model and I think that APS have really hit on something that will delight airsofters that either have an interest in historical platforms, or just want something on their armoury that is pure and simple airsoft fun!”
The APS STRIKER-12 is based on the The Armsel Striker that was originally made in South Africa in 1981, also known as the Sentinel Arms Co Striker-12, Protecta, Protecta Bulldog and SWD “Street Sweeper” and IRL it was a 12-gauge shotgun with a revolving cylinder that was designed for riot control and combat!
The APS version mimics this pretty darn faithfully from what we can see, with a cool gas system meaning that it is 100% compatible with APS MKI shells and Smart Shot shells; the Smart shot shells allow you to fill gas directly through the valve. With the use of either 88g cylinder adapter or paintball cylinder adapter, the filling is three times faster than the old MKI system… and you can load 12 shells to create some mayhem with!
Made for comfort and easy handling, this shotgun has grips with finger grooves that fit just right. The folding stock adds versatility, perfect for tight spots and storing away or ease of transport to and from your favourite local site.

This looks to be a whole heap of 6mm shooty-funtimes to us, and we’re sure that Bill will be putting it fully through its paces before he drops his full report and evaluation of this unique platform in ISSUE 161 on 15 APRIL!
