So, Stewbacca is wrapping up his daily coverage of MOA 2024 this afternoon, and what a busy yet enlightening weekend he’s had in the company of some of the world’s finest airsoft companies, and indeed some righteous trade and media folk from all over the globe too!

Today he reported in to say;

“So, fellow shooters, that’s a wrap on another awesome Military Outdoor and Airsoft show… and undoubtedly the best yet!

Every year it grows not only in scale but experience; the whole environment felt more calm and spacious throughout and it was easy to get around despite the number of attendees and exhibitors, and of course plenty of products on show.

Today was mostly about pistols for me, with LCT finally revealing their own prototype mock-up iteration of a Hi Capa based system, their first foray into the GBB market; they mentioned they may move into this area way back when I first visited them a few years ago, and the new model features a split slide with a stationery ‘island’ where the red dot sight can be mounted as well as a TDC wheel adjustment on top, threaded barrel and flared magwell! I’m quite excited to see how that turns out, but likely I’ll have to wait until next Xmas.

Kizuna works also brought-on their range of ‘OpFor’ sidearms with a very fetching and subtle two-toned Russian MKW GBB with an Aimpoint ACRO fitted that has the usually buttery smooth-as-glass slide action I’ve come to expect from them; I really need to get around to visiting them and doing a larger article of their story at some point!

And of course VFC’s Stetchkin was out on display so I got hands on with that which is another interesting ‘OpFor option’.

But of course, as always, fellow shooters, the people make it what it is, and it was awesome to meet a few new faces, some of which I’d known of but not in person until now, as well of course as the old favourites from media, manufacturers and just good friends from the field or the competition.

Great work by Eric Chu and his team at QRF Magazine for the outstanding work they’ve been doing since the first MOA back in 2017 right after I first arrived on island; hats-off to them for the excellent outcomes they keep bringing to us.

I look forward to seeing everyone again and wish them safe homeward journeys however far that may be. Field notes to follow, but until then, I’ve got a cocktail and some chicken nuggs inbound. Til next time, fellow shooters…”

And that is indeed a wrap… until ISSUE 169 where Stewbacca will be landing his full show report! Our thanks as always go to “our man in Taiwan” not only for covering the show as always, but for going the extra mile and getting his notes to us diligently at the end of each busy day pounding the show floor!

Of course next up is SHOT 2025, and Boycie, Li’l Stu, and Dan will be there to bring us their own insights from all that happens in Vegas… although of course some things may need to STAY in Vegas, but that’s down to them!
