Well, that’s everything brought up to speed with the “back office” stuff which should see AIRSOFT ACTION set for another six months or so… is it just us, or does everything online seem to need updating more and more frequently?

But it’s done, and we’re ready to roll into Q4 of 2024 with the best possible connectivity we can offer, and as more and more of you are coming to the website direct for your daily and monthly airsoft news fix it’s important that we keep everything in tippity-top shape!

And that’s also vacations over with for a while here too, with everyone in the AA Crew back to the workshop, the range, and of course to games and events so there’s LOTS to cover off in the next few months, especially with “show season” already on the horizon… MOA, the AIRSOFT FEST in Portugal, and SHOT are mere months away now, with IWA close behind in Q1 of 2025, so that means show reports to bring you all the very latest airsoft goodness that the industry have to offer as always.

But in the meantime there’s still much to be talked about, and the guys are busy again this week! Bill is back from his annual trip to the mountains with lots of kit put through its paces, but this weekend he’s back to his favourite things on the range… AEGS and GBBs! He told us;

“I always love heading off-grid for a while, and looking at new clothing, gear and footwear, but my heart as always abides with the very fundament of what we do, and that’s the AEGs and GBBs that make airsoft so much fun! For a gun-bunny like me airsoft lets me shoot (albeit in 6mm BB form) all the firearm platforms I could ever wish for… and a few things that are distinctly airsoft too. This weekend I have the October issue in mind so I need to get some more BBs downrange with the LAMBDA GHM9 (pictured in the hands of Ben this week) and the ARCTURUS K9 CUSTOM AK… such a tough life I have!”

On the workshop side, Dan and Jimmy are fully back into things too! Dan said “The plan for this weekend is to finish out some overdue builds that have been held up for lack of motors. Thankfully, those have come back in stock and I can proceed now! First up is a KWA AK-74M ERG, which is one platform I have not worked on in quite a few years. I’ve been given carte blanche to upgrade it as I see fit, though. So I’m a little excited to see what I can do with one of these now. Then I have a pair of KWA QRF MOD 1’s to convert to recoil. After those are squared away, I need to work out what’s amiss with an M249 Featherweight that’s running a Polarstar Jack engine. I suspect the body is just too bendy to make HPA a reliable candidate, because every time I pick it up the air nozzle has shifted position and is out of centre…”

Jimmy has a new toy, and reported in; “this weekend I shall be tidying the workshop; I have a bit of a break with gun work due to lack of parts needed. Sunday I shall be on site at Cool Under Fire testing out my newly-acquired TM SCAR H courtesy of my buddy Martin; I offered to buy it from him last year but he has never used it since buying it new so he very kindly gifted it to me. I fitted a new TNT SRS barrel with a Silverback flat-hop rubber and Stalker nub; At 1.02j I cannot believe how far this thing can spit a 0.30g bb. Honestly amazed!”

Stewbacca, as ever, is busy as a busy things as he told us “Team TaiJi will once again be descending on the dank indoor disused clubland CQB place where I took pictures for the LCT AK MOE article; I’ll be rounding off my review of the VFC M16A2 this time, no doubt using the large outdoor basketball court area as a nice long firing range perhaps with my laser range finder and electronic targets to test and confirm final zero before using it as my primary rifle at next weekend’s imminent POLK 4 MilSim down in Miaoli on the West Coast for a change this year.”

Miguel too is a busy airsofter and he reported in to say that “this Sunday we are visiting a field of one of the oldest teams in Portugal, a group called Hostile Ops. All points to some simple games, among few selected teams”, and also on the game-front Rich said “my son and I are off to REDCON 2 for a charity match in aid of Cancer Research”.

Sadly as we head on into the Autumn months the dreaded lurgy has already reared its head, and Li’l Stu is a bit under the weather… we hope you’ll join us in saying “get well soon Brother!”… do make sure that you’re prepared when you head out this weekend, especially in the UK as it looks like it’s going to be WET… get your gear squared away and make sure you stay up to scratch as the lurgy does tend to put a dent into your airsoft-time!

And that’s it from us this week; we hope that you’ve got some great plans of your own for the coming weekend, and wherever your airsoft adventures may lead you be sure to Play hard, Play safe, and above all, Play with Honour!
