It’s been quite the week at AAHQ, and a REALLY exciting one with “Da Bois” of the AA CREW in Las Vegas to cover SHOT SHOW 2025, and we hope that you’ve enjoyed our coverage of the event so far!

ISSUE 171 is already in-build and well on the way, and there’ll be a full report from Boycie, Li’l Stu, and Steve (no doubt with some extra input from our old American mate John P) when that lands on February 15th.

Of course that’s not the only “airsoft biz” that has been going on in the office as we’ve already started our run-up to IWA 2025 as well, and Bill has been busy schmoozing with all of our lovely industry partners to make appointments for the next big show on the AIRSOFT ACTION calendar… flights and accommodation are booked, so Bill and Smooth Jase are already primed and set!

Bill went on to say “much as SHOT has been a massive success for AIRSOFT ACTION thanks to the superb efforts made by the crew onsite there, there’s more work to be done at IWA, and my personal focus is on that show now, my absolute favourite show of the year, and I’m very excited to be returning again to the Nuermeberg Messe and IWA, and to seeing friends old and new from the industry there.

However, there’s work to be done before then, and I need to wrap up my range testing of the new ICS Daniel Defense and SPECNA ARMS J-Series AEGs this weekend… with another storm descending upon us in the UK that’s going to be a challenge, but hey, when did a little wind and rain ever stop airsoft shenanigans?”

Stewbacca told our chat group “right now I’m between pickups of stuff that have just arrived for me, and not only do I have the new VFC TTI John Wick 2 AR AEG already in hand to try out, but I’m on my way to pick up something chonkeh and gas powered that uses 762 mags I already have a lot of…

Team TaiJi will be going to Linkou CQB again on account of likely poor weather and potentially lower turnout as we enter the Lunar / Chinese New Year holidays here… and of course wishing all of our industry partners and others who celebrate it a happy and healthy upcoming Year of the Snake!”

Miguel (pictured this week) said “looking at the Vegas photos… I’M…NOT…JEALOUS…! This the GHOST OPS team and I are traveling to Castelo Branco, to attend the USAC team birthday event. They are a close team to us, so it’s usual to mark our presence…”

Dan went on to say “it’s still frigid AF outside right now, so nobody is doing any airsoft this weekend in my part of the USA. Consequently, I’ll cozy up in the shop where I’ve got a lovely Arcturus AK-12U to drop some upgrades into, followed by an older Arcturus Centaur B that needs an inspection and a build-plan laid out for it. Then if I’m feeling adventurous I might tackle the two Classic Army M4’s from one of the local fields rental fleet. Once those are out of here, I will have just about cleared out my backlog from 2024 here, so I’m feeling good about that!”

And with the rest of the AA LEGION revving up for a whole new year of airsoft there’s a LOT to look forward to… more games, more events, more kit, and of course more (MORE!) AEGs and GBBs!

If you’re in the UK then please take care this weekend as it looks like another hoofing storm is brewing right now… but whatever you’re up to, fettling in the workshop, shooting on the range, or putting BBs down in-game we wish you all the very best, and as always we’ll sign off by saying Play hard, Play safe, and above all, Play with Honour!
