It’s THAT time again, and for any of you celebrating Valentine’s Day with your most-loved one (no, not your AEG or GBB, the other one!) then all of us at AAHQ wish you all the very best… if you’ve forgotten then take this as a reminder before you lose all your airsoft-points… you’re welcome, it’s a service we provide!

But it’s also the end of another busy office week, and we are absolutely gagging to get out and sling some plastic-mayhem… although certain members of the AA Crew have seen fit to (literally) slope off to the snow for their alpine fix… did we mention that many of us are also into snowsports… well, we are!

But for those of us still hard at it (oh, the pain we suffer for you!) there’s a weekend spotted and that means all kinds of airsoft-related shenanigans are afoot as usual… ISSUE 171 will drop TOMORROW, so our work is done for a few brief days before we roll into ISSUE 172

Stewbacca told us “I just got back from a night session after work at Linkou CQB; gone midnight here! But this weekend team TaiJi should be venturing up to the hills of Xindian again and I’ll likely take the VFC OSW GBBR (pictured this week!) out for another stretch of its legs in a longer distance environment… having already run it in CQB and closer-range jungle settings before I can then write up my final thoughts for next issue. TLDR… it’s a bit awesome and slaps yo!”

Dan tells us that “temps have been hovering around 1° F or below most of this week. The little heater in the shop is struggling to make it tolerable, so I’ve not been spending as much time down there either. For this upcoming weekend, it’s looking like it’ll be a little warmer, so I might try and hammer out another MCX Rattler build I need to get done before the end of the month. I should also *finally* have a shipment from Bullgear showing up later this week, so I can get an M249 which has been sitting here for some months now finished up. The juggling never ends, I tell you…”

Jimmy is also at the workbench; “this weekend is a non-game weekend unfortunately, so I shall be shackled to the workbench. I have an oldy in for some modernization in the form of an early WE Masada MSK which has been living in a shed for the past ten years, so that’s going to be interesting. I have been asked to revamp an old G&P Tank that hasn’t seen the light if day for a few years also which I know is going to fight me; G&P seem to be very fussy with modern components but it isn’t my first rodeo! Third on the agenda is a commission job I have been tasked with by AK2M4; he has an abundance of new barrels which need cutting to length and crowning, and they have also asked if I can machine barrels from scratch so I shall be labouring away on the lathe… fingers crossed I can produce something of usable quality.”

Miguel is putting in some hard labour with his fellow GHOST OPS team-mates… “this Sunday we will leave our gear at home, and swap it with saws, shovels and other tools. Last Sunday, we noticed a few trees that have fallen in the field, and a couple are even blocking paths. So, it’s time for some cleaning.”

Ben for once is taking some downtime… kind of.. and said “gonna test out some drone shots on the range target shooting… hoping it can pick me up when it gets darkish, as some tracer shooting with drone doing the 360 video will look pretty cool!”

Boycie, ever the sucker for some hall-pounding is “heading out to the British Shooting Show and seeing what is on offer in the UK. Coming fresh off the heels of Shot Show 25, this will be tiny in comparison; however the networking opportunities will be equally as important…”

Bill said “I’ll just be heading to the woods range as usual, not to test-shoot anything, just to shoot my own stuff for my own enjoyment! As the sun will be shining I think it’ll be time to break out my VFC BCM MCMR and VORSK VMP-1 and give them a good run around the barricade… keeps me fit too! Of course the new issue will drop tomorrow so I can relax a little this weekend… before I start firming up all our IWA appointments… gonna be a busy show again, as the dance card is pretty full already with meetings on the hour, every hour for three days…”

So that’s it from us for another week, and did we mention that ISSUE 171 GOES LIVE TOMORROW!

We hope that you’ll check it out as always, and that you’ll enjoy the entire issue although our mammoth SHOT SHOW REPORT is sure to take the interest of many of you! Whatever you may be doing (other than checking out the new issue!) we hope that you have a big old heap of 6mm-fun, and if you’re in-game then Play hard, Play safe, and above all, Play with Honour!
