Yet another busy week goes by at AAHQ, with lots of plans and ploys coming together to move things forward yet again! We’ll have some cool news to announce soon, but in the meantime it’s very much airsoft-business as usual as the AA Crew continue to constantly test and evaluate new AEGs, GBBs, and associated gear.

Reflecting on what we’ve achieved this year so far, and especially with “airsoft show season” quite literally around the corner, we’ve covered off a mass of new releases whilst still keeping track of what has done before… the RED CELL testing program continues to drive on, and next year we’re looking forward to bringing you all of that “intel” in one place!

But that’s 2025, and we’ve still got a lot to go at in 2024, and of course that means that the guys are hard at it as always!

Stewbacca, busy as ever, told us all in our end of week chat that “hot off the heels of a great showing at the POLK 4 MilSim last weekend (having battled along a beach and up treacherous dunes in the searing sun against emplaced enemies with lots of machine guns it seems!) Team TaiJi will be doing a public game of sorts with another team sharing our Xindian hilltop site in the south of Taipei.

I’ve just rounded off my VFC M16A2 review having used it to great effect at the MilSim, so I might use something I want to play with for a change. I have the new Archwick APC9SD2 as well, but might also take the VFC MP5SD3 along and make it a subgun day for a bit of a change. Or there’s the FNC languishing as well after its previous great performance at the same site. As always… spoilt for choice, fellow shooters…”

Dan told us that “the airsoft season is starting to wind down up here for the winter, but this weekend we’ve got our annual “Fallout” event at Pegasus MilSim; I need to dust off my post-apocalyptic armour and also prep my Kar98K for its retro-futuristic Elysium-esque look again. I might even haul out my mini-nuke for a special occasion…”

Miguel (pictured this week with the new SPECNA ARMS SA-A33 ONE that you’ll find reviewed in ISSUE 167 next week!) reported in to say “we started off last Sunday with our IX Admission Course (or just XI CA); this Sunday it gets real as the candidates will meet our obstacle course, where teamwork is key…”

Our newest American “Legionnaire” Matt has been in Japan recently and told us “I picked up a 6 SECOND MOUNT in Japan so that’s joining my Roland, but otherwise it’s all prep for the big national “AMS Op Arsenal II” as well as getting in the swing of finishing up my first frames and drafts for my articles.”

On more “home turf” Rich said that “this weekend I’m off to Whitesphere Tactical’s new shop in Huntington; we’re setting up a new section in the magazine to report on new stores, especially those with unique sites and fields attached, so this will be the “trial run” for something new in 2025!”

Ben is obviously having some funtimes too; “hopefully I can make it to Cool Under Fire on Sunday as want to try out my JG MP5K; I’ve got some bits on the way for that, but I’m struggling to find a retractable stock for it though… not a fan of the foldable…all I’ve come across are either not quite the right fit or some heavy modification is needed… Saturday I’ve a friend coming round who has a YouTube channel (quite big) and he’s coming to shoot some guns as he’s getting an interest in airsoft; his channel normally covers exploring old bunkers and abandoned places (he also likes old retro toys and bits like me!) so we’re gonna do a little video on shooting.”

Bill’s been largely stuck in the office, and let everyone know: “as I’ve been working on a “special project (great news on this soon!) and just signed off on ISSUE 167 to go live next Tuesday (watch this space!) we’re ready to start the upload process… which always takes longer than you might think across the number of publishing platforms we use these days! Once that’s done though I’ll be off to the woods range to dial in the AEGs (yes, AEGs!) that I’ll be using when I head out to skirmish with the lads at the end of the month… we’re “going back to basics” for this run-out, so nothing fancy, just the self-same carbines and pistols for us that many of you use too!”

So, that’s us… what about you? We hope that you have some cool airsoft adventures of your own planned for the coming weekend, and we hope that whatever you get up to in the workshop, on the range, and especially out in-game will be amazing!

For another week though we’ll sign off with our usual mantra… wherever you are playing in this big old airsoft-world that we share Play hard, Play safe, and above all, Play with Honour!
