Another month is upon us, and another weekend has been spotted!
As we head towards the end of the office-working week again at AAHQ it’s a time of reflection and planning, and indeed some well-earned R&R for some of the AA Crew.
Reflection for the members of the team that have just come back after SHOT Show (some of whom are battling “SHOT Flu”!), and planning for those that are heading out to Germany at the end of this month for IWA…. plus there’s additional planning as we’ve all been talking about taking a larger team to SHOT next year!
But it’s also been a bit of “heads down” week at AAHQ as we pull together ISSUE 171 that’s due to drop on the 15th of the month… although the content is assembled and laid up we still need to get it fully ready to upload to the publishing platforms in good time… hey, but that’s for next week now after we’ve all been out shooting BBs!
Miguel kicked things into gear this week as he told us “this Sunday we will stay in one of our fields, I want to organize a force on force practice for my new guys, so I’ll have one or two friendly teams along”, and Ben commented “I’m off to Cool Under Fire this Sunday with my best mate; not been out for a little while so we’re gonna have a jolly boys shoot up! I’ve also got a micro-drone on the way, so that will help with making some new and interesting shots for my YouTube videos!”
Bill said “I’m back on the woods range this weekend as there are a few things lined up for ISSUE 172 that I need to chrono and document… my testing regime never stops! I’ll also be taking along the new ICS DDM4 PDW (pictured this week) just because I am REALLY enjoying shooting this little devil… I’m overjoyed I’ve finally found a PDW-stocked SBR that’s long enough for me!”
Dan is singing the blues though, as he said “we received about 7″ of fresh wintery snow where I live in the USA, which is making me daydream for a set of MultiCam Alpine and a nice snow game to attend. Alas, there’s nothing on the immediate horizon… I’ll probably poke around in the shop a bit, s’pose…”
Stewbacca amazingly is enjoying a very well-earned break, and he said “for once I am not doing anything #ShootyFunTimes related, rather travelling around the perimeter of Taiwan and seeing some people and places on the way. Very long overdue rest and recuperation fellow shooters!”
Boycie told us that “for me, now that the Shot Show report is in (and I await it’s publication with a bit of excitement!), I will be sorting through my airsoft kit as I have a plan for a build and I think I have most of the parts….just need to find them lol”, whilst his partner in shenanigans Li’l Stu said “I’m recovering from the chest infection/throat infection/wherever lurgi that came back with me from Shot Show…”
And it would appear that quite a few folk heading back from Vegas have come back with “SHOT Flu”, and a right nasty one it appears to be this year! We wish Li’l Stu and all our other friends afflicted a very swift recovery… be well soon!
So it’s onwards, ever onwards for all of us at AIRSOFT ACTION as always one way or another, and again, as always, if you’re out playing this weekend then Play hard, Play safe, and above all, Play with Honour!
