This year is most certainly racing along, and AIRSOFT ACTION continues to race along with it! As we head into a new month, and towards ISSUE 168 on 15 NOVEMBER, there’s really exciting times ahead!
With MOA 2024 just a couple of weeks away now we’re looking forward to bringing in Stewbacca’s report on all that is new and shiny from the first major show of the season, and Press Accreditation is in hand for the teams heading out to SHOT and IWA OutdoorClassics 2025… plus Bill will be joining Miguel at the AIRSOFT FAIR in Portugal to report on that in full at the end of this month.
Yup, busy, busy airsofters are we!
We have a few of the usual AA Crew that would comment here on their “Something for the Weekend” plans away on vacation at the moment, but as always the remaining team are “front and centre”, and gearing up for their Saturday/Sunday airsoft adventures.
Bill told us that “after a full-on airsoft weekend gone with new a new shop visit and an awesome day skirmishing with Ben it’s back to biz as usual for me. ISSUE 168 is in-build right now, so I’ve been stuck behind my screen all week editing and formatting, and I am really looking forward to getting to the woods range to work on some pistols; I’ve been spending some time again with my favourite VORSK, ICS, Umarex, and VFC GBBs as we’re coming up to our annual ‘Favourites of 24” series, but I’ve also been working up the latest G&G STP45 PRO in order to evaluate it fully. It’s been a while sadly since I’ve had a new G&G pistol model to work with, but this ‘2011’ has thus far certainly been worth the wait!”
Dan said “There’s only two events remaining in the first and second weekend of November, after which the Airsoft season will largely be “closed” up here in the USA! For this weekend, I’m just focusing on whittling down the pile of builds so I can get to the end of the year without a big backlog. I’ve got a fun Vz.58 project coming up that I’m looking forward to hammering on. It’ll be a nice change of pace from the usual avalanche of M4’s I am always drowning in.”
Miguel as ever is busy, but was a bit cagey this week; “This Saturday night we will have the night event for the team candidates. Where they are going to REDACTED with the objective of REDACTED, while the rest of the team REDACTED REDACTED!”
Yup, it’s BACK, and Boycie chipped in with “Oi, REDACTED! That’s my line lol”… there it is!
Stewbacca thankfully let us know that the big storm that’s been pounding all of our friends in Taiwan is moving on, but that “originally I was planning on hosting an outdoor CivDef force on force event with our training group, however… Gestures at the heavens and the largest, fiercest typhoon system amassing since the 90s… I guess I’ll join team TaiJi at the indoor CQB site a short bus ride north of home instead. Outdoor sites might be clear of winds by Sunday but the inundation will make them muddy as hell!”
Our newest recruit in the USA Matt told us that “I’m locking down gear for OP Arsenal II, getting the prelim Op Docs, and making sure we’re all set with our night fighting gear!”
Like Bill, Ben (pictured this week) is keeping things a little more relaxed after a busy last weekend and said “this weekend I’m chilling; out on a ghost hunt Saturday night with some friends at Dover Castle locally, then on Sunday my daughter and I are going to see Grandad… other than that I shall be do my part by killing bugs on infested planets….would you like to know more?”
So, we hope that you’ve got some great airsoft plans for yourself this weekend, especially as many sites are running “Halloween Themes”… a little zombie-slayin’ action perhaps? Whatever you’re up to, slinging BBs, hitting the workshop or the range, or simply kicking back and admiring your airsoft collection, we hope you have a great time!
If you are out playing, we’ll sign off the week by saying Play hard, Play safe, and above all, Play with Honour!
