ISSUE 173 of AIRSOFT ACTION has now been out in the wild for a few days, and it’s already clocking up the reader numbers as always… THANK YOU to all of you players and shooters out there around the globe that check in with us every single month, we’re always grateful for your continued support!

Here at AAHQ we’re winding down to an early finish today, and looking forward to a long weekend thanks to the Easter break…  as the image this week of Miguel illustrates, sometimes you just need to kick back… we’ll be shooting for sure, but we’ll also be taking some time to do that other most important thing, and that’s spending a bit of time with our families!

Let’s take a moment to also thank all the families and airsoft “widowers/widows” out there that put up with our passion for airsoft, that understand that we need our “6mm fix” on a regular basis, and humour us patiently when we start to talk about “tactical stuff”… they’re the ones that understand us the best, and let us get away with all the shenanigans we do, so to all of them… THANK YOU!

But what of the weekend? What are the AA Crew up to?

Bill kicked things off this week as he told us “I’ll for sure be spending some time with my wife this weekend, and we’ve got some family meals planned that should be righteous… that said, the weather for Saturday looks to be clear and fine, so it’s primo time to get to the woods range and lay some BBs down… rangework is always more fun in the summer when you can just head to the range in shorts, and with the latest Secutor ASTRA and the new AMAROK magazines to finish up testing I’m looking forward to some gun-fun in the sun…”

Stewbacca commented “Weather permitting (it has been a bit of a shit show of heavy rain every weekend pretty much most of the time since the start of the year, with numerous shoots being forced to move indoors to Linkou CQB on short notice) team Taiji are planning to head to our Xindian hilltop site to play some long range outdoor #ShootyFunTimes this weekend.

I played with the FNC at Pewniversity last weekend to great effect, I’ll probably use the OSW this weekend to compare it. Still trying to decide which to run at our upcoming POLK 5 MilSim in late May. Decisions decisions. Always spoilt for choice at least, fellow shooters…”

Miguel told us that “this weekend, the preparations to our 17th birthday even are in full swing. That means field work, because we have some areas that need tidying up for the game module. So leave your replicas at home, and grab shovels and hoes!” Bruno also told us “we are going to prepare the field to our 17th birthday, cleaning up, preparing objective points to maintain the safety of the players”, and Sara added “I’ll be with Miguel and Bruno working on the field, to get it ready for next week’s big event! A weekend of work and laughter with our second family!”

Ben said “I’ve got a night game on the 26th so I’m pretty much set and ready, but my best mates IR needs zeroing so he’s popping round on weekend; once I’ve got that set we’ll have a quick run through (under NODs) hand and IR laser signalling… sharpen the tools as they say! I’m also gonna fill out the form to get my new passport sorted out as I may be heading to France for a little MilSim if tickets aren’t sold out by then…”

Dan told the group “no Airsoft fun for me this weekend; I’ll be doing a bit of tree and brush clearing around the house and property. We had a warm winter and a poor snow pack this year, so we’re just trying to stay ahead of what could be a potentially bad fire season!”

Boycie also said “not much for me this weekend. Time with the family but also sorting something out to do with L’il Stu… shhhhh”, while our wee warrior himself added “I’ll be having a long weekend of relaxation; off to Snowdonia…”

And that about wraps things up for Good Friday 2025 from us; we hope that if you celebrate Easter you’ll have an egg-cellent few days, and that wherever you may be you make the most of your weekend!

If you’re with your friends and family then make time to let them know how much you value them, and their support for your “airsoft habit”, and if you’re playing then as always Play Hard, Play Safe, and above all… Play with Honour!
