Yeah, yeah… we know it’s “Cyber Monday” but we’re just about “Black Friday’d” out, and frankly if you haven’t picked up a bargain yet then as our Red Cell spirit-guide Mr Marcinko would say, “doom on you”!

But there’s still some great deals to be had out there, and as the foliage gets a bit sparser around AAHQ it gets us to thinking about more mid-range shooting, and of course what you want for that is a solid DMR… we all have our favourites, be they gas or electric, but a perennial contender is the H&K G28, beloved of marksmen globally!

Now the EC203 doesn’t come out and say “G28”, but that’s undoubtedly what it’s modelled on, and with a mid-range price and mid-range accuracy potential it could be a very good bet if you’re keen to head down the semi-auto DMR route.

The EC203 features high-quality components and a realistic design; it has a six-position adjustable stock, ambidextrous fire selector, and accessible bolt catch and magazine release buttons. The rifle is equipped with a 22mm RIS rail, M-LOK handguard, and QD sling mounts. Its precision is enhanced by a 6.04mm barrel and a polymer rotary hop-up chamber, with easy hop-up adjustment via a functioning bolt catch.

The rifle is powered by a long-type V2 gearbox with a quick spring change system, steel gears, and a reinforced piston for durability. It uses the Eshooter ETU Basic system for wire protection and customizable firing modes, offering Single, Burst and Auto, and Binary modes if you keep the power down and program it so. The integrated MOSFET supports brushless motors, pre-cocking adjustment, and additional features like active braking, rotor protection, and low voltage warnings.

And East Crane… well, let’s just say it ain’t their first rodeo, so you can expect some good durability and solid performance from the EC203 over time too!
