Followers of AIRSOFT ACTION will know that as part of our commitment to highlighting airsoft in a truly global way earlier this year we appointed our good friend and tech guru Dan to act as Deputy Editor for our “ops” in the USA, and he’s already done a sterling job in rising to this new challenge, with some fabulous reports, reviews and articles from his own airsoft community in the USA to appear soon.
We’re delighted today though to announce that the AA LEGION has grown yet again, and we’re very pleased to report that Dan will now be joined by the first of our direct recruits for our CONUS-based contributors team.
Matt is our first-ever “recruit” from outside our immediate “familia”, and although we will be recruiting further in due course when the right people emerge, Matt lives up to the standard we all expect from one another here at AIRSOFT ACTION, so we’ll let him tell you a bit about himself…
“Hi, my name’s Matthew; I’m a 27 year old American guy who’s been playing airsoft for 10 of those years. I’m a professional writer, producer, and small business owner, having released multiple videogames on almost every major system and am currently working on my first book in the tactical niche with an established IP.
I know of AA through Dan, and have been a reader since I’ve been introduced. My experiences in airsoft are unique given that I was the president and treasurer of, as far as I’ve accounted for, the only US collegiate airsoft club that was funded by its university to the lifetime tune of one hundred thousand dollars. So you might say I have a unique viewpoint of airsoft in that I was constantly trying to boil airsoft down to its fundamental parts in order to get new players into the game with gear and good company.
As far as my writing style goes, I’m a long form, classical writer and I hope to bring that flair to the magazine in my articles!”
Although Matt will join the team with regular input, his first major article for us will be a report on his experiences at American Milsim’s “Arsenal II”, held on the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in November… we can’t wait to read about that and see some groovy images!
Please give Matt the usual warm welcome, and we are certain that he will set the bar high for those that join the wider AA LEGION in the future… so yes, more on page from airsofters, for airsofters, and we look forward to growing the team again when the opportunity presents itself.
