Another week kicks into gear and spirits are high at AAHQ following our win in the PLAYERS CHOICE AWARDS over the weekend for BEST AIRSOFT MAGAZINE!
And we’re equally excited to finally have in hand what appears to be the final part of the puzzle when it comes to the rollout of the EMG-enthused NOVESKE N4 GBBR story in the form of the DOUBLE EAGLE TAKE that brings this platform most firmly into the reach of even the most cash-strapped player!
As regulars here will know we’ve followed this story by looking at each iteration of the N4 as they’ve appeared, and now, thanks to our mates at iWholesales we have the “budget version”, but is it really going to perform very differently from the other models we’ve seen even though it’s significantly cheaper?
On the face of it, no as it benefits from the proven Tokyo Marui MWS gas blowback system, ensuring reliable performance. It also has a heavy-duty metal upper and lower receiver with engraved licensed Noveske trades and a 10.5″ outer barrel with an aluminium-railed M-LOK compatible handguard. Once again the carbine features an adjustable stock, flat-top receiver for mounting optics, improved gas efficiency, and it would seem, durability. It has a length of 705mm – 790mm, weighs 2260 grams, and has a magazine capacity of 35 BBs.
In a nutshell, the DOUBLE EAGLE take benefits from;
- Realistic externals: The NES M4 from Double Eagle is a realistic clone of the real steel Noveske N4 MWS. It has all the correct markings and engravings and is made of high-quality materials, including steel for the buffer tube, trigger, fire selector, bolt catch, and magazine release.
- It’s affordable: This GBBR is a much cheaper alternative to the Tokyo Marui MWS or the other N4s, offering realistic internals and performance.
- Durable: The NES M4 is made of high-quality materials, including steel for many components, making it very durable.
- Performance: The NES M4 uses the same MWS Z system internals as the Tokyo Marui MWS, offering excellent performance and reliability.
- Shoots a variety of magazines: This airsoft gun can fit a variety of magazines, including P mags, Lancer mags, official Marui mags, and Master Mods mags.
All in all at first glance it is a solid little package, and we’re keen to get it onto the range ASAP to see if the performance lives up to our expectations!
Is this the N4 we’ve been looking for?
As always, watch this space!
